WILLIAM STOREY

DOB 05-06-1991

William answers to Willy rather than his given name

He has an interesting occupation, being a Regional Business Partner -  Adoption Match. He matches adopters with children looking for a family.

Although joining East Leeds for the 2016 season, he hasn’t played that many games.

Right handed, he’s the archetypal “jack” (no 11) in his preferred position, claiming his top score at East Leeds of 7 v Adwalton as “what a knock”

A right arm pace bowler, 2 wickets for 18 tops his bowling stats for the club.

His favourite player is the former Durham and England player Steve Harmison, the big strapping North East fast bowler- what dreams are made of.

His best moment at East Leeds was the massive win by 205 runs against Adwalton, this being Toms first win as Captain, and hoping for many more this year.

He might be using the wrong aftershave judging by the number of clubs he has played for.  Thornaby (North Yorkshire and South Durham League),Norton CC (NYSD) Stockton CC (North East Premier) Hull University 1st XI, for which he played 3 years in the last year winning Cricketer of the Year.

The highlight of his career was going to Australia and playing for Southern Pirates CC, winning the League and being in the top 5 bowlers in the league averages, 30 wickets in 12 matches with 2  “5 fors” and an average of 12.. This at the age of 18!.

Stop Press. 10 June 17, Willy gets 5 for 16 against Crossbank!
